Having taken retirement from the public sector, I decided to be brave, refrain from the corporate world and look at exploiting my knowledge of the markets. I decided to capitalise on the academic (Post graduate) and interest in the markets to develop a long term strategy of buying shares in undervalued companies and selling in overvalued companies using the permitted Stocks and Shares ISA allowance in preference to the pitiful returns from building societies and the banks.
I have traded for five years (yes I’m am still here) adopting a warren buffet strategy ‘buy and accumulate’ approach although I will sell when its necessary. Often I make trades using contrarian principles. Undervalued companies is the key to profitable trading.
